Sanctuary: A Sacred Place or Shrine

Forest Sanctuary Sussex, a place of natural peace, offering a pathway to the silence of mind and stillness of heart.

A simple forest hut

Mark Golding has studied, taught and practiced the Buddhist Path for over 20 years, and can offer insights into the nature of mind and the Path to Enlightenment, following the instructions of both Sutra and Tantra, as taught by Buddha Shakyamuni.

Yin & Yang

In the Vajrayana Traditions of Tibetan Masters, Je Tsongkhapa, Atisha, Milarepa and Ghantapa.

Vajra & Bell

Guidance, instructions and meditations suitable for absolute beginners.

Lojong – Transforming adverse conditions into the Path.

Under the acacia tree
her veil of green protecting me,
soft canopy of velvet grace
gathers me in sweet embrace.

And summoned by the call of crows
and riverboats in timeless shows
of movement, life and industry
within, around the ‘cacia tree.

The toil of nature, call of time
that beckons each to seek the shrine
upon which we might draw our faith
as pilgrims passing, without trace

So stop and pause,
allow the peace of blessings to arise from source,
yes, from within this holy land
that holds your heart and guides your hand,

To follow in the Buddha’s path
of softening your tightened grasp.
Allow your worries, fears to cease
and breath the sound of inner peace.
